I had only heard of fairy tales. Had read about some in books, had seen some in the movies. But it is only now that I can speak with conviction - they exist! And the wonderful part is, for me, it wasn't far away from home. Let me take you tell you how...
We were classmates but as fate would have it, she left our school for another. Were we best of friends? Well, we we just knew each other's name and lost touch. (Psst she will tell you i was a nerd but don't buy that; I was simply too cool for school.)
Adulting was/is not easy. So, I'd Instagram to find company in misery. Little did i know, a surprise was in store! SUCHIMITA NAYAK, read the profile name and i knew its the same girl from my class. I had to say hello and i did. Yeah, best decision i ever made.
Cut to first date!
It was dreamy and unreal. We were meeting after 12 years and that too were calling it a 'date'. And believe me, by the end of it, I knew this is special. Woh bolte hain na, "Is duniya me dost kam milenge

That realisation turned into many more of those moments. Soon, we both could see ourselves through each other's eyes and it was magic. She understood me completely and I was in awe. I still am. But I'm certainly more glad that the date happened despite all things.

A real life Guardian Angel. Just thinking about her and wondering about our times together, itself brings a smile. She is a person who believes in love, care and affection.
